Summer break
We offer prayers and God's blessings on our graduating seniors with gratitude for their time with us. For all Spiders, we offer prayers of thanksgiving for making it through this COVID year with faith and devotion. We pray that everyone has a restful, restorative summer.
Our activities will resume in August when the academic year begins, and our prayer is to return to our normal 5 p.m. Sunday Mass schedule.

All are welcome in this place
Thank you for visiting the web pages for Catholic Life at the University of Richmond.  Our community is made up of students, staff, faculty and friends of the University of Richmond. All are welcome to join us as we join with Pope Francis to proclaim the joy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Getting involved

There is a place for you in Catholic Life at Richmond. We always

welcome new faces to sing in the choir, serve at Mass and take

part in service projects. Email to get

started on the next chapter in your faith life.

Catholic Life celebrates the full range of sacraments through

the ministry of  deacons and priests who serve here. Yes, you

can get baptized, confirmed and married through campus

ministry at the University of Richmond!

From Pope Francis:

"I prefer a church which is bruised, hurting and dirty because it has been out on the streets, rather than a church which is unhealthy from being confined and from clinging to its own security," he wrote. "I do not want a church concerned with being at the center and then ends up by being caught up in a web of obsessions and procedures."

Welcome all Spiders!
Welcome to our first-years and welcome back to our returning students. Fuel your faith this year and get involved with our vibrant Catholic community. Please email Deacon Tom Mullen, the University's Catholic Chaplain, at to get on the mailing list if you aren't on it already and to get more information about Catholic Life @Richmond.
